Homefront Lindy Hop
Homefront Lindyhop has been running since 2013. We started with one class a week and a dance once a month and have built this up to holding 4 classes a week and 1 dances a month . We also hold regular workshops in Lindy Hop and Strolls.
We thoroughly enjoy the Lindy Hop scene and encourage everyone to be involved whether you dress in the forties style or smart casual. Dancing helps to relieve stressful weeks, its brilliant exercise and good for the brain cells to. Our motto is have fun whether it be at our classes or at one of our dances.
We hold our Homefront dances monthly . They are open to everyone and helps our beginners get the confidence to get up and dance . It is also a great way to put together what you have learnt at our classes. We have our resident DJ’s Swingout Si, Hands on Deck and Jumpin Jonesy who will play 40s and 50s music for you to dance to and enjoy. We also supply free tea, coffee, squash, and cake to keep your thirst quenched and sugar levels up for all the dancing!!!
We hold workshops monthly throughout the year, this can be Strolls (which there are many), fundamentals, basic moves and advanced Lindy Hop, Bal-Swing and Shag. These workshops are held on a weekend, normally they are a 3 hour workshop with refreshments provided.
